Noella Beauty Works
Available at:

Noella beauty works is a small etsy shop where you can purchase hand made mineral cosmetics, I was a little skeptical at first seeing as I am used to using drug store makeup or urban decay. But then i discovered her facebook page and was blown away by the swatch photo's I saw, so naturally I ordered!

Colors from left to right.
(Snow Flake, Sea Storm, Teal, Deep waters, Sugared Plum)

You see those swatches?!
Aren't the color's just beautiful?
These are the five colors I purchased on top of Urban Decay's primer potion, as you can see the pigmentation is wonderful, and the color's are just gorgeous.
Keep on reading to hear a little bit about each wonderful color!

Snow Flake

This one was probably the one that got me the most excited because I don't have any whites, and I was not disappointed at all when I received it.  It feels very soft and silky on the skin, and the color is just so pretty! It's a soft shimmery white, it's lovely on it's own, but when you use it with blues and purples it's just stunning!!

Sea Storm

A really pretty blue with strong green under tones, and a little bit of pretty shimmer!
This one is probably my least favorite of the five, but I still love it to pieces. It's a lovely color, just like the rest, but my one complaint would be  that you have to pack on more product to get a bold color. A tiny bit of a hassle, but in the end it looks very pretty.

Teal

Pretty much my favorite out of them all, a really bright and vibrant green with blueish under tones. I find that this one has the best color pay off out of them all, you don't really need to use to much product to get a vibrant color! This also looks fabulous when paired with Snow Flake.

Deep Waters

A very pretty blue, it reminds me of ocean water. This is a very pretty color and looks great on green eyes and pale skin. Though, it has the same problem as Sea Storm, that being that you have to use more products to get a vibrant color.

Sugared Plum

A beautiful smokey purple. It looks amazing on green and brown eyes, and will work well with any skin tone. This one is my second favorite next to teal, the color pay off is wonderful, and the color is just so pretty.
If you try any colors I highly recommend this as one of them!

The low down on these goodies!

These may be home made shadows, but the quality honestly resembles something you could pick up at Inglot or Sephora. The texture of all of these are very smooth, and they do not irritate sensitive skin, and better yet they are all natural. What a god send these shadows are!
She has many different colors to choose from in her Etsy shop, and also has kits you can buy for specific eye colors. The customer service is also lovely, you can communicate with the owner through her facebook page, and ask her any questions about your order, or what colors she would recommend for you. This is really a lovely shopping experience.

Price for single shadow: 4.99$
Price for any five shadows of your choice: 23.49$

Final Verdict: An amazing buy, and well worth your money!

NYX cosmetics EYE SHADOW/BLUSH!!

Posted by Zombabe at 4:20 PM 0 comments

This is going to be a continuation of the last review I did, but this one will be covering all of the other products I purchased, the eye shadows and blush.

(Brown single shadow)

This is a NYX single shadow, in the shade brown. It is a matte shade, and i'd say a medium brown. It has a really good texture, and is very silky upon application. I would recommend this to anyone who likes neutral colors, and likes a more 'natural' look.

(Champagne single shadow)

This shadow is exactly what the name says it is. A very nice Champagne color, it is metallic so there is some shimmer to it. Since it has shimmer it might not do well on older women, since some find shimmer and glitter age them. But, if you like that then this if a good shadow for you. The color pay off isn't super intense, so it is good for a calm look, or natural if you'd like.

(Nude single shadow)

This is a light skin tone color, that is very good to use as a wash over the entire lid, or as a high light depending on your skin tone. It is matte, and very silky in texture. Once again, great for a more calm and natural look, and works well with browns.

(High light single shadow)

High light is a lot like nude, but with more of a 'yellow' undertone to it. It is a matte shade that works wonderfully for, you guessed it, high lighting. I am not sure how well this would work on darker skin tones, but for those with pale to medium skin, this is a perfect high light for under the brow, or the tear duct area.

(Peach Blush)

Peach is a very soft pink blush. It is matte and doesn't contain any sparkles so it should work well on sensitive skin. I would not recommend this for dark skin tones, since it is a very soft color is might not show up too well. On the other hand, if your skin is fair, this is a very pretty blush and is very appropriate for work or any other professional occasion. The texture is very smooth, I love it! (and I normally don't wear blush!!)

The low down on these products!
For the price, these shadows are PHENOMENAL. They are not chalky at all, and have a very smooth and silky texture to them. The pigmentation is pretty good, but I used the Urban decay primer potion as a base, I would imagine it not as great without a primer. None of the shadows have creased on me, and they all blend just as good as my urban decay shadows do.
I am not normally one for blush, but I must admit that peach is a very pretty soft pink, and it works well with my pale skin tone. It has no shimmer, or glitters, and the pigmentation is very nice as well.!

Final verdict: If you are looking for eye shadow or blush, and don't want to run to sephora and spend a fortune in it, this is a great option. You pay a lot less, but still great a fabulous quality product. I highly recommend these products! The range of shadow colors is amazing, as well.

NYX cosmetics CONCEALERS!!

Posted by Zombabe at 2:45 PM 0 comments

I have always heard great thing's about NYX cosmetics from friends and online, and finally got around to making an order on CherryCulture.com seeing as they were having a sale. I purchased 4 single shadows, 1 blush, and 2 different concealers. They also gave me a free gift, a lip treatment that smells like bubble gum, Yum!!

This review will be only be on the concealer, my next will cover the rest.

(the products)

Over all, I am very happy with my purchase, and I would suggest for everyone to try these products. I know that I am going to continue buying their lovely products! To find out why, keep on reading!!

(The concealers)

I purchased two of the three concealers that they offer on their site. The HD photogenic concealer (in Fair) and the concealer in a jar (in orange) to give both products a try.
  • Concealer in a jar (orange)
This concealer is in a jar as the title says, so it might seem 'unhygienic' to some who are used to using products that have a wand or applicator, so those who do might want to use a brush to apply it. It gives medium to full coverage depending on how much you choose to apply. I got it in the shade orange, so I could use it to help cover my purple/blueish under eye circles, and I must say, I am very please with this product. It doesn't settle in fine lines, and doesn't stick to dry skin and it is also layer-able. If you have under eye circles that are purple or blueish this should work well for you. Just apply it gently to your under eye area, let it dry, and then apply your normal colored concealer. Then Voila! Your imperfections are hidden!

  • HD photogenic concealer (Fair)
This concealer come's in the typical concealer packaging, a glass tube with a wand applicator. It has a thick creamy consistency, and goes on very smoothly over the skin. It does not stick to dry  skin, or settle in fine lines, just like the concealer in a jar. Matter of fact the two are very similar in the coverage they offer, both medium to full and are layer-able. I find that the major difference between the two is the consistency, this one is very creamy and feels nicer upon application compared to the concealer in a jar.  This concealer is also more hygienic because you don't have to dip your finger in the product, which is a plus!

So the low down on these two!
Both are really great concealers, and work well doing their job. In the end it all comes down to personal preference (I myself prefer creamier products), but both are great to have. I actually use the orange jar concealer, under the HD one and love the finish of it. I highly recommend these two products to anyone in the market for a concealer, or anyone who doesn't want to invest in a high end product!
Final verdict: A great buy!
